I grew up with Charlie Hebdo and its journalists. I've never liked its vulgarity and they regularly demonstrated a (very French) irrational hatred of England and America - without nuances.
BUT they were beyond daring and some of their stuff was genuinely funny - and they did some important investigative work as well.
My dad loves the newspaper. My parents' favourite cartoonists are now all dead.
I genuinely don't know what to say.
